What is the provider screening process?

Since people sharing introduces a new way to get help beyond the curb, safety is a top priority. All our providers are pre-screened and undergo background checks, driving record validation and a vehicle safety inspection. You can rest assured your providers are vetted and top-of-the-line.

Screening Criteria

All prospective providers are pre-screened via a phone interview to confirm they have experience and an outstanding driving record. To pass the first round of their path towards becoming a provider, prospective providers must meet the following criteria:

  • At least 21 years old
  • At minimum of 3 years driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Own a 2008 or newer four door vehicle in great condition
  • Once the initial criteria are met, the prospective provider moves on to the second stage - vetting.

Vetting Process

The vetting process is comprised of verification on multiple background data checks:

  • Address history and Social Security Number validations
  • National level, independent background checks
  • Sex offender record check
  • DMV and driving record validation

Once cleared through the background checks, prospective providers are screened by Zinkn. At this time, we assess them for personality, attitude, reactions to situations and their sense of purpose – we want our providers to have the same passion that we do. During this meeting, we will do a driving test and ride-along. The final stage of the vetting process is to check the prospective provider's references.
